The lighting ring can also be displayed on your Always-On Display (AOD). Please note that this feature is currently in beta, so it may occasionally stop functioning. If you encounter issues, consider using a third-party AOD app. Ensure that both Samsung/stock AOD and Samsung Edge Lighting are disabled in the display settings. Additionally, confirm that the third-party AOD activates properly when your phone is locked and that AOD is enabled in Arc Lighting with the override set to off. If you prefer not to download a third-party AOD, you can use the override toggle in the app, but this will force a fingerprint icon to appear on your display, a requirement set by Samsung.

Permissions Required for Optimal Functionality


This app requires specific permissions to function correctly:



  • Accessibility: Allows the ring to appear over your lock screen and AOD, and access the color of the current app.

  • Draw Over Other Apps: Enables the ring to display on top of other applications.

  • Microphone Access: Used for analyzing internal audio for music lighting (only required if Audio Visualizer is enabled).

  • Storage Access: Retrieves the color of your wallpaper (only needed if this feature is utilized).

  • Notification Access: Changes the ring color based on notifications.

Burn-In Concerns


Some Android displays may experience mild burn-in if a static item is displayed for an extended period. You can disable the default effect to show the ring only when an indicator is triggered. Samsung Galaxy devices come equipped with burn-in protection that slightly moves pixels to prevent this issue.

  1. How do I disable individual notifications? This feature is currently planned for an update. You can set each app you wish to silence to 100% transparent in custom colors.

  2. Why is the light constantly flashing even after clearing notifications? Some notifications, such as fast charging alerts, can cause the light to flash. If the light continues to flash, try reinstalling the app or contact support.

  3. Is the app free? Yes, the app is free to use indefinitely with the option to watch a few ads per hour. Purchasing will remove ads.

  4. What if the light is frozen? Music lighting can hide other indicators. Ensure custom zones are set; turning off the glow effect may also help resolve freezing issues (this will be addressed in an upcoming update).
