Bass Engineer is an innovative app designed for auto-composition of bass guitar grooves and solos. Whether you are a seasoned musician or a passionate music enthusiast, this app unlocks your creativity and helps you think outside the box.

This is the extended version of the free app Bass Engineer Lite.

Composition Methods

1. Manual: Select notes and chords yourself.


2. Automatic: Use the AUTO COMPOSER feature.

Compose All Feature

The COMPOSE ALL feature creates a new melody and accompanying harmony from scratch. You can change notes, chords, and note articulations using the drop-down menus for each note.

How to Use the App

To get started with the app:

1. Wait for all sounds to load upon starting the app.


2. Select GROOVE or SOLO mode, tempo, note scale, and note length.


3. Create melody rhythm by checking the checkboxes below the notes.


4. Press the COMPOSE NOTES button to generate notes for the selected rhythm.


5. Listen to the melody repeatedly and tweak the notes either manually or with the help of the auto composer.

Playing Melodies

You can play melody, harmony, or rhythm by checking the corresponding checkboxes. The AUTO COMPOSER will select notes for the positions where the checkboxes are checked. If no notes are checked, the melody will be composed from scratch.

AUTO MODE Options

When AUTO MODE is active, the melody is auto-composed every 4 cycles (this is changeable in Settings). You can save the composed melody via the Save button. There are three types of AUTO MODE available:

1. AUTO ALL: Both melody and harmony will be auto-composed every 4 cycles.


2. AUTO NOTES: Only the melody will be auto-composed every 4 cycles.


3. AUTO CHORDS: Only the harmony will be auto-composed every 4 cycles.
