Microsoft exFAT/NTFS for USB by Paragon Software offers a universal, non-root solution for transferring files between the onboard memory of your Android device and USB Flash Drives formatted for Windows or Mac. This app is designed to enhance your file management experience seamlessly.

The application is fully integrated with the Paragon File System Link document provider, which is based on the Storage Access Framework (SAF). This integration ensures access to:

Supported USB File Systems


Supported USB file systems are available via in-app purchase. You can evaluate the app's functionality within trial mode for:



  • HFS+

  • Microsoft NTFS

  • Microsoft exFAT (for non-TV devices only)

Note: You can activate the trial mode by authorizing via Google+ or by posting on Facebook.

How It Works



  1. Install Microsoft exFAT/NTFS for USB by Paragon Software on your device.

  2. Connect a USB flash drive via USB OTG and mount the file system you need.

  3. Tap the «Browse» button and choose:


    • Open files: View media and documents from USB storage.

    • Manage files: Copy/move/delete files using the built-in Android file manager.


  4. To choose your USB volume, tap on the hamburger menu and select Paragon File System Link.


Note: Some devices may not support the "Browse" button functionality due to configuration restrictions.


Open files: Allows only viewing files. For file management functionality, please use Manage Files.

Manage Files


File management capabilities vary by Android version:



  • Android 7.x and 8.x: Copy, Move, Delete, Rename

  • Android 6.x: Copy, Delete

  • Android 4.x and 5.x: Not supported by built-in Android file manager; please use the app’s Plugin for Total Commander functionality.

To use it as a Plugin for Total Commander file manager, install it from Google Play and click the Open button on the Microsoft exFAT/NTFS for USB main screen. This will open Total Commander with mounted volumes of the USB storage.
