Infrared Blaster Application for Smartphones

This application allows users to utilize the internal infrared blaster found in many modern smartphones. Our long-term goal is to support a wide range of devices with infrared remote control capabilities and their associated functions.

Flexible Remote Format

The remote formats have been designed with flexibility in mind. Users can edit the full layout and codes directly through the app, along with an easy import/export feature.

Supported Devices

• Android Devices: Any smartphone or tablet running Android 4.4 or higher with an infrared blaster/emitter (note: support depends on the manufacturer’s API implementation). Some SONY devices are not supported due to their inability to send RAW codes.

  • LG G3, G4, G5, and newer models (note: some older LG devices are not supported due to limitations in the LG API).

  • HTC devices below 4.4 are supported but may encounter issues (please contact us for assistance).
  
  
  • Supports Medion Lifetab S7852, S10334, and other Lenovo devices with infrared capability.
  
  
  
  


• If your device has infrared functionality but is not working, please reach out with additional information so we can explore potential support options.

Requesting Additional Support

If the device you wish to control is not listed, please send us an email request. We will strive to add it to our database when time permits. Additionally, feel free to search for working discrete codes (such as LIRC, Pronto Hex, etc.) and share them with us to expedite the database expansion process.

• Macro mode: Buttons can execute multiple IR commands in succession with a single press.


• Customizable remote control layout and codes via XML files.


• Use Volume Up/Down hardware buttons to send commands.


• Visualize sent IR codes as On/Off graphs for easy verification.


• Three types of widgets available: Single, 6-Button, and 9-Button.
