Introduction to MailDroid

MailDroid is an advanced Exchange/POP3/IMAP Idle Push mail client developed from the ground up, distinct from the stock mail client.

MailDroid Pro Version

This is the Pro version of MailDroid, which is completely ad-free. The Pro version includes additional features that are not available in the free ad-supported version. Support for the Pro version is provided via email only, similar to the ad version.

Try Before You Buy

Please download and try the ad version before making a purchase. The ad version is free!

Important Limitations

• ActiveSync and Calendar: Not supported yet!


• Spam Subscription: In-app payment does not carry over from ad to Pro.

Instructions for Ad Version Users

1. If you are using version 4.77 for both the Ad and Pro versions, most settings will transfer automatically if both are installed. However, we recommend making a backup by exporting your settings to your SD card. Navigate to Menu > Settings > Import/Export > Export. Be sure to select all options at the bottom of the screen or choose individually.


2. Note: Starting with version 3.24, you can export your POP3 emails in MBox format for import/export across different versions of MailDroid using the backup POP3 menu item under settings. Please note that emails will not transfer automatically at this time.


3. Uninstall the MailDroid Ad version (you can do this at any time).


4. Install MailDroid Pro.


5. On the accounts screen, import your settings using Import Legacy if you exported settings prior to version 2.90, or simply choose Import if you are using version 2.90 or above.

Additional Notes

• MailDroid Pro does not require the extra permissions needed for ads.


• MailDroid Pro is a smaller file size as it does not include ad-related files.


• MailDroid Pro consumes less memory and CPU since no ads are displayed.


• MailDroid Pro uses less bandwidth and data due to the absence of ads.

Additional Features in Pro

• Up/Down arrows in email to navigate to the next or previous emails.


• Use hardware volume buttons to move to the next or previous emails.


• Set your preferred action after deleting an email (next/previous or back to inbox).


• Two customizable widgets available.


• Switch between three icons when adding the counter widget.


• Expandable notifications with options to Reply, Reply All, Forward, Delete, and Archive (up to three choices).
