How to Use Planet Finder +

Using Planet Finder + is extremely easy! Simply launch the application to gain an instant overview of the planets surrounding you. You will find yourself at the center of the screen on Earth, with planets displayed around you. If a planet is above the Compass Ring and highlighted, it is visible. If it is below the Compass Ring, it is shadowed and below your horizon. This applies to all celestial types. Activate your starcraft engines and travel quickly through the universe!

Augmented Reality Mode

Planet Finder + features an advanced Augmented Reality Camera. Just point your phone to the sky, and the app will switch to Augmented Reality Mode instantly. Spot planets, stars, and constellations through your mobile camera, take snapshots, and share them via Facebook, email, Twitter, or MMS!

Interactive Features

Interact with the Augmented Reality View by activating its Player. You can play, pause, rewind, and fast forward through the Solar System, rendering the trajectories of the planets and the moons of Jupiter and Saturn. Track planets, stars, constellations, and galaxies by following the direction of the arrows for quick spotting.

Switch back to 2D Compass or Text View by lowering your mobile phone. For more detailed information, simply touch a celestial item in the text list. Hit the 3D Planet icon for a detailed view of planet/moon textures, and check real-time positions of the moons of Jupiter and Saturn.

Access rise, transit, and set times of the planets by hitting the RTS icon, or find out the current number of sunspots by tapping the Sun 3D icon. Stay informed with the latest static information by tapping the Wiki icon.
