SignalCheck is a powerful tool that enables users to accurately check the true signal strength and connection details of their devices. Detailed Connection Information

SignalCheck displays all available information reported by your device, including detailed NR and LTE connection data. It was one of the first Android apps to provide in-depth LTE information to users. For compatible Android 7+ devices, NR and LTE band and frequency information is accessible. Older devices connected to major US providers can also access LTE band information, while root access allows LTE frequency info on older devices.

Connection Type and Carrier Name

The app shows the current connection type along with the carrier name for each connection, even when roaming.

Customizable Notification Icons

One of the standout features of SignalCheck Pro is its customizable notification icon(s). This feature allows users to:

• View data connection strength in the notification area at the top of the screen.


• Access more details in the pulldown menu.


• Keep signal strength visible at all times without needing to open the app.

The icons can be customized to display signal bars, connection type, digital signal strength in dBm, or a combination of connection type and signal strength. A secondary icon can also be enabled to always show the 1xRTT signal for CDMA users, all customizable within the app!

Alerts and Notifications

SignalCheck Pro can notify users with optional audio, visual, and/or vibrating alerts for user-defined events, such as:

• Connections to specific NR or LTE bands


• Complete signal loss


• Site pattern matching

Additional Features

SignalCheck also offers:

• Display of "Neighbor" cells that are within range but not currently connected.


• Ability to save a log of connected sites with customizable notes (e.g., "Springfield High School Tower").


• Automatic screen-on feature while SignalCheck Pro is in the foreground.


• Display of base station location (CDMA 1X site/sector location) with instant mapping access by tapping on the address.


• A home screen widget showing current connection type and real-time signal strengths, with color-coded fields for quick reference.

Reset Your Data Connections

A feature to quickly reset your data connections is available, but please note that your device must be rooted for this to work on Android 4.2 and above. This feature is not available on non-rooted devices.

Permissions Required

To ensure SignalCheck operates properly, the following permissions must be granted:

• LOCATION: Required to obtain mobile and Wi-Fi connection information and log location data. Select "Allow all the time" for background access to ensure proper display of notification icons.


• PHONE: Required to obtain mobile connection information.
