   If you plan to perform a factory reset on your phone, ensure that the default backup folder is on your external SD card. If not, please copy the entire backup folder ("SmsContactsBackup" by default) to your external SD card.

   As of Android M 6.0, access to bookmarks from third-party applications is disabled, meaning Super Backup cannot backup and restore bookmarks.

   Important Notice #3:
   If you schedule automatic backups and use apps like Task Killer or Memory Clear, please add Super Backup to their White List or Ignore list. Otherwise, Super Backup will not run in the background, and automatic backups will fail.
   


4. 
   Important Notice #4:
   If SMS messages are not displayed in your default SMS app after restoring, try rebooting your device.

About Permissions

The following permissions are required for the app to function properly:

• READ YOUR TEXT MESSAGES (SMS OR MMS)/EDIT YOUR TEXT MESSAGES (SMS OR MMS): Used for backing up and restoring your SMS.


• READ YOUR CONTACTS/MODIFY YOUR CONTACTS: Used for backing up and restoring your Contacts.


• WRITE WEB BOOKMARKS AND HISTORY/READ YOUR WEB BOOKMARKS AND HISTORY: Used for backing up and restoring your Bookmarks.


• READ CALENDAR EVENTS PLUS CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION/ADD OR MODIFY CALENDAR EVENTS: Used for backing up and restoring your Calendars.


• READ CALL LOG/WRITE CALL LOG: Used for backing up and restoring your Call logs.


• RECORD_AUDIO: Required for recording your voice calls.


• Location Permission: Needed to transfer backup files between devices via WiFi peer-to-peer. Starting from Android 8, this permission is required, but we do not collect your location information.
