For those using USB-DAC devices not made by TEAC, the TEAC HR Audio Player Unlocker (a paid app) is available to enable native playback of high-resolution formats.

Important Notes

• When using the headphone jack of an Android device, files with resolutions of PCM 88.2kHz and higher will be downsampled to 44.1kHz.


• Supported TEAC models include: HA-P50, HA-P50SE, HA-P90SD, and HA-P5 (as of July 2016).


• If the USB-DAC does not support the playback file's sampling rate, it will be downconverted during playback.

Graphic Equalizer Features

The graphic equalizer within the app allows for adjustments across 16,384 bands and the saving/loading of up to 1000 equalizer curves. A linear-phase FIR filter is included to prevent phase distortion and maintain audio quality, enabling precise adjustments without sacrificing sound fidelity.

Connecting via OTG

By using an OTG (On The Go) cable, users can connect portable amplifiers or other TEAC devices to unlock high-resolution playback capabilities, supporting PCM 192kHz/24-bit and DSD 5.6MHz files.

• HA-P50, HA-P50SE: Support playback of PCM files up to 96kHz/24-bit (limited to 48kHz/16-bit with AOA 2.0).


• HA-P90SD, HA-P5: Support playback of PCM files up to 192kHz/24-bit and DSD files up to 5.6MHz.

• Files protected by DRM cannot be played back.


• When outputting DSF, DSDIFF, and other DSD formats using DoP, the equalizer and crossfade functions will be disabled, and frequency response will not be shown.
