Setting the Stage
The nation teeters on the brink of division. Fort Sumter: The Secession Crisis is set during the tumultuous events leading to the bombardment of Fort Sumter, marking the beginning of the American Civil War. Players can choose to align with either the Unionists, striving to maintain the Union, or the Secessionists, advocating for its dissolution.
Gameplay Mechanics
Each player employs an area control mechanic to strategically place, move, and remove political capital. The positioning of this political capital is crucial as it determines control over the four critical crisis dimensions:
